Willkommen

This year my family is hosting a foreign exchange student. His name is David, and he’s from Germany. It’s been an exciting adventure for my family – welcoming someone into our home and our family. It’s been an adventure for David, too – learning about our culture and finding his place in the school and community.

I got the opportunity to spend some quality time with David while I was home last fall. We traveled around my hometown of Humboldt, taking his Senior pictures.

Here are some of my favorites.

Look Up, Get Up and Don't Ever Give Up

Like I said before, I am so proud of the HTRS Titan football team this year. They made it to the third round of the state playoffs and had an outstanding season all-around.

These pictures are from their game against Weeping Water on September 11th.

Titan Power

The Titans of HTRS had a banner year. They finished the season 8 and 3 and made it through the third round of the state tournament. This is the first season in 2 years that HTRS has made it that far. It's also the fifth season since the merger the team has made it to the playoffs.

I must admit that I'm a little biased. My brother is a starter on the team. I had a lot of fun documenting the couple of games I was able to make it back for.

The following pictures are from the October 3rd game against the Nebraska City Lourdes.

Cheering on the Titans

On November 8th the parents of team members held a pep rally to celebrate. It was such a fun celebration to be a part of.
The pep rally included speeches from the coaches and seniors as well as tug-of-war and "Monarch Metamorphosis" -- where team members transformed their coaches into new creatures.
